Bronze and .925 fine silver National Commemorative Medals were struck in Philadelphia mint for the Alabama Sesquicentennial Commission. 10,000 bronze and 2,500 silver medals depict the first Governor, William Wyatt Bibb as well as the Governor during the sesquicentennial, Albert P. Brewer.
