Omaha Bank Hoard Hall-of-Fame: 1942-P Silver WWII Nickel
Some 1942 and 1943-1945 Jefferson nickels were minted with a component being silver because of war time material shortages. They can be distinguished by the mintmark which is placed on the reverse about the memorial dome. Shown here is the 1942-P Silver Variety Jefferson graded as MS66 by NGC.
