Omaha Bank Hoard Hall-of-Fame: 1942-S Silver WWII Nickel
Some 1942 and 1943-1945 Jefferson nickels were minted with a component being silver because of war time material shortages. They can be distinguished by the mintmark which is placed on the reverse about the memorial dome. Shown here is a 1942-S Jefferson graded as MS66 by NGC
