El Cortez Casino Collection - This coin is from the personal collection of Jackie Gaughan, previous owner of the El Cortez Casino. The El Cortez is one of the last (if not the last) real historical landmarks of the early days of Las Vegas and is still in business. Bucket list item - stay at the El Cortez, walk the floor where the ghost still wanders, see the room where mobster Irish Green lived (did Bugsy a solid, as the story goes).
