Owner Comments:

This nickel posses good luster and strike with an attractive pastel toning on both sides. Most nickels of this date are not fully struck and finding one with both great luster and a sharp strike is difficult. There are 6 known RPM varieties documented. The large number of RPM's is likely due to the high demand for coinage after the Great Depression and the hiring of new employees at the Mint.
