||QUARTER DOLLARS - SEATED LIBERTY, ARROWS 1854-55
||25C 1854 O ARROWS
||NGC MS 67
Briggs 2-E, and the finest known of the date. I can say that without fear of contradiction as the flips accompanying this slab identify it as both the NGC MS-67 coin and the PCGS MS-66 coin in each case the single finest graded at that service (creating a moral dilemma as to what to do). Details closely in line with the description in Briggs. On the obverse Liberty's figure is re-cut. And on the reverse there is a die scratch through the dentils above the letters TAT. The fields are completely clean except for a small tic in the obverse field to the right of Liberty's knee. Bought from Stuart Blay August 2008.
