A Bill approved and signed, The US Mint will issue its first commenmorative half dollar since 1954. This coin was to celebrate the 250th Birth Anniversary of President George Washington. The coin is struck in 90% silver with 10% copper. The uncirculated version was minted in Denver. The obeserve shown the portrait of George Washington astride on a horse. The reverse shows Washington's Virginia home, Mt. Vernon. The mintage of the uncirculated version is about 2.2 millions.
