1857 FE cent MPD and Large Die Gouge Obv. under L Wing, Center of Coin, S16, die stage B--full CUD. The digits of part of the date have been Double Punched into the Eagle's neck. This is a very unusual major die break in the center of the obverse, which is unique for the FE series.
