My 45D is the most strikingly beautiful coin in my collection. The beautiful rainbow toning and superb luster are features that really make this nickel stand out. Some of the most beautifully toned coins I have seen have been Jefferson War Nickels, and they tend to command substantially higher premiums. The 45D has a fairly high 67FS pop, but rare in the */+ designation or 68FS. The 45D has the 5th lowest mintage in the series, typical for Denver minted Jefferson War Nickels. Really love this coin!!
