Owner Comments:

Mintage 780,000. A nice clean Type II Double Eagle. Obtained in a trade in the early to mid 1970s from John Dowd, Albany, NY. John was a major importer of gold coins from Europe and I'm fairly sure that this was one of those coins. Pictures show the coin prior to certification.
