Mintage 961,000. First year that the Denver Mint struck eagles. Purchased in February, 1974 from Dave Bates, Rochester, NY. Few have survived in grades higher than MS62 and I think this coin is worthy of a higher grade in my opinion. Pictures show the coin prior to certification. Lots of flash.
