1953-D, D over S. Breen 4367. FS#25-022.3. Listed as "extremely rare" by the Breen encyclopedia, this coin exhibits the amount of chatter one would expect from the given grade. An early die state, this has the textbook features, and the overmintmark is very easy to spot. Population of 6, with 6 finer as of 8 Dec 2004.



Also: 1953-D, WDDR-001, FS#25-022.2, CONECA's 11-R-I, MS-64, enroute to NGC for grading at this time. Doubling shows as a strong counterclockwise spread on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and QUARTER DOLLAR. Rare!
