1939-D. Breen 4297. This coin has a hint of bronze toning, but is generally white, with outstanding strike and luster. This is a coin I bought raw at J & J coins in Sioux City, Iowa, and submitted to NGC.
Varieties Owned:
1939 D over S, Breen 4298, FS #025-012.3, NGC MS-65. Bronze and gunmetal-blue toning around the edge of the obverse. Purchased on Ebay in an ANACS MS-64 holder, for $250. Broke out and submitted to NGC. Tied for second finest known along with 4 others. One finer by a point. NGC 1746324-008
