1904 PCGS MS64 DMPL VAM-4 (Double 9-4)
This is an outstanding prooflike rarity in the Morgan series. There is only one other certain DMPL and that is the Jack Lee specimen at MS65, presently in the Dr. Hoffnagle Collection (PCGS #7455606, which I believe is also a VAM-4). NGC has attributed a 1904 at MS62 DPL. But I have not seen the coin and do not know its prooflike characteristics.
This VAM-4 has a very strongly doubled date that is easily appreciated in the DMPL presentation.
