VAM-1A/EDS NGC MS64 PL (DIE CHIPS IN 8)The 1881-P is a tough coin in strict prooflike. Perhaps only a dozen or so exist in gem state. The best value (like for the 1880-O, 1881-O, 1882-P and 1882-O) is in the MS64 prooflike grades that are near gem. There are on the order of ten times as many MS64 than MS65 and among them some real borderline cases.
