Very nice coin with good strike and luster. The coin is framed by light golden toning and is very attractive. The big deal about this coin is the fact that is an attributed VAM 2b. This is the finest graded example of this VAM that NGC has graded so far. I did a little research and discovered that PCGS does not attribute this VAM. ANACS does and they have graded 43 of the VAM 2b with MS 63 being the highest they have graded so far. ICG has graded a total of 11 with two being MS 64 PL ( but the reader has to bear in mind that ICG has a reputation for being "generous" with their grading standards). This is not to say that there are not additional VAM 2bs in higher MS out there but in over 20 years of attributing VAMs the majors have only graded a handful, with a tiny minority being in mid to higher mint state. To put it in another perspective the VAM 2a is often the VAM that collectors want for this date but statistically it is 30% more common than the VAM 2b although there are no graded mint state examples of the VAM 2a known. So, look at your 91 P and see if you have a diamond in the rough!
