Superb GEM MS 67 1938 D FB Winged Liberty Head "Mercury" Dime in a new NGC holder. This coin has been awarded the coveted NGC STAR (*) for its unique appearance. As a bonus this dime also has Full Split Bands (FB) and a nice sharp strike. The Denver mint produced just over 5.5 Million dimes in 1938. This dime has the desired FB designator on the label and the composition is .900 silver and .100 copper with an overall weight of 2.50 grams.
