Owner Comments:

The coin shown has a remarkable obverse strike through extending from Miss Liberty's nose to her right shoulder. This must have been some very small metallic object to create the effect. The effect is like the high leaf variety of the Wisconsin state quarter. Except that the coin here has a Strike Through error so the miss-placed line is incursed in the coin. The Wisconsin quarter had the Die altered with a depression in the die and this resulted in a raised line on the coin. Also this is likely a one of a kind error, unless the object that created the error was stuck to the obverse die. Where the Wisconsin coins had the die altered and so thousands or hundreds of thousands of identical errors were made.
