Owner Comments:

This coin was first produced by the United States Mint in 1932 and it replaced the Standing Liberty Quarter. The image on the coin features a portrait of the first President of the United States, George Washington. Washington was born on February 22, 1732, and this coin was produced to commemorate the 200th anniversary of his birth. The inscription on this the coin says: Liberty and In God We Trust and the date. Three United States Mint Directors served under President's Washington's tenure as president - David Rittenhouse, Henry William Desaussure, Elias Boudinot.

The reverse shows an eagle wtih wings spread, standing on a bundle of arrows with two olive sprays beneath it and the inscriptions: United States Of America, E Pluribus Unum, and Quarter Dollar.
