A gorgeous MS-60 that looks closer to MS-62 or at the very least an MS-61. This coin is in one of the much older 6-digit prefix numbered slabs, which are know to be very conservatively graded. It may be worth another look by NGC on this very low mintage of only 72,041 coins for the total minted in New Orleans for this first $10 of the 20th century. I'm very pleased to have it. Plus it fills another expensive slot in my 1901 mint set I'm trying to complete.
Total mintage for this 1901-O is a very low 72,041 total coins with just a couple hundred graded by all grading services and that includes in all grades. There are some very low mintage rare coins that came from this year barely into the new century.
I feel very blessed to have this coin added to my collection of Ten Dollar Liberty Gold coins. With now 5 of the 12 being from New Orleans.
