Superb GEM+ MS 68 1938 S FB Winged Liberty Head "Mercury" Dime in an old NGC holder. This coin is bright white with Full Split Bands (FB) and a super sharp strike. The San Francisco mint produced just over 8 Million dimes in 1938. This dime has the much desired FB designator and is in the finest condition possible to obtain. The composition is .900 silver and .100 copper with an overall weight of 2.50 grams. Most of these coins graded to date by NGC are at the MS 66 level or below. NGC Base: Total 832 / MS 68 FB: 8 / MS 69 or Above: 0
