Owner Comments:

This coin has one of the best strikes that I have ever seen for this mintmark and date issue. The hand, thumb, left leg skirt lines and breast feathers are all very bold and strong!

I've been trying to aquire a '20 D for a few years now. I had the opportunity to buy a MS 65 but was not prepared, besides the 65 had a great strike but was too dark and lack-luster. There are not too many good '20-Ds out there.

This one looks almost pure white, very frosty and almost mark free;a few tiny, wispy bag marks in the right (facing) field are all that keep this from being a gem or higher, IMHO. Although the picture is good, it doesn't quite do it justice. Definitely the center piece of my set, so far.

Important varieties:

V 101 – Doubled D east

This coin is ranked an amazing 5th in MS rarity with mintage at 1,551,000. The 20 D has wicked investment potential and the price has risen in recent years and will continue to rise, IMHO, as it is VERY SCARCE. MS 64 PCGS population 107/48 & NGC census 73/15 as of 10/10.
