Owner Comments:
The Denver Mint produced over 136 million Roosevelt dimes dated 1953 and millions survive in mint state condition. With so many high grade survivors, FMV for 1953-D Roosevelts are generally lower than book prices.
The 1953-D in this collection is nice and white but has some spots of light discoloration on both sides. Despite the light discoloration, the coin still has decent eye-appeal.
The coin has a good strike on both sides with a bit of spread on some of the lettering are the perimeter. Torch lines are all clear, defined, and uninterrupted. There are no significant contact marks to speak of. Overall, a good addition to the collection no less.
