1968-S JEFFERSON, NGC MS64 5FS Business Strike-
Coming across this year with a full step was a fantastic find. These 1968-S Jefferson in this
year are super scarce in any grade with full steps . This coin has clean stunning steps and
is not far from being the first 6 step coin for this date.
Considering its FS rarity of this coin,it was much easier on my pocketbook purchasing this
at this grade for the value on these skyrockets' as the condition of strike gets higher.
As of May 2017'
Total Certified just in Mintstate from both top grading services Pcgs and Ngc 1,106 .

This was dated a few years back-
Ron Guth: Full Step 1968-S Nickels are very rare, but not to the extreme rarity of other contemporary dates. Unfortunately, though the strike is strong enough to preduce the requisite definition to earn the Full Step designation, the overall quality fails because of excess bagmarking. The most frequently seen grade for a 1968-S Full Steps Nickel is only PCGS MS64FS, and the finest examples certified by PCGS are only three at the MS66 level.
