Seller description:
1886-S/S $1 MS64 Deep Mirror Prooflike PCGS. VAM-2. A Top 100 Variety. Tied for finest PCGS graded DMPL 1886 S/S (two in 64 DMPL, none finer). The mintmark was initially entered with a tilt to the left, then carefully repunched in the proper position. Traces of the serifs remain from the first impression. But any variety of the lower mintage 1886-S dollar is desirable, particularly in DMPL format. This flashy and nearly untoned Choice Morgan has a good strike and pleasing preservation. (Registry values: P6, N1793) (NGC ID# 254X, PCGS# 97171).
