NGC US Coin Census for Lincoln Cents, Wheat Reverse (1909-1958)

Owner Comments:

The war-time steel cent remains an extremely popular type of the Lincoln series due to its unique metallic appearance and one year of production. Zinc-coated steel replaced the bronze composition to conserve the national copper reserves for ammunition needed overseas during World War II.
Fun fact: More steel cents were made than Walking Liberty and Franklin half dollars combined!

This pristine example has wonderful luster and unique color. NGC has graded only 129 in MS68 and one higher at MS68+.
