Owner Comments:

The Missouri State Quarter was released on August 4, 2003, as the 24th coin in the State Quarter Program. Missouri’s original Statehood date was August 10, 1821.

The reverse theme is “Corps of Discovery” and it highlights Louis and Clark’s return to St. Louis with the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial Arch in the background.

I visited the Memorial Arch on June 3, 2006 and took this picture looking up to the peak of the Arch.
