Owner Comments:
This amazing GEM QUALITY example has a needle-sharp strike, even for a Philadelphia issue, and uncommonly clean fields, which are rarely found on a 1920 coin---they are NOTORIOUS for bag marks and numerous abrasions.
The devices are sharp and very clean, as well…Just a few abrasions on the sun. It exhibits a gleaming mint luster, too. The borders are lightly toned in a subtle sapphire blue and emerald green.
The 1920 is considered a more 'common' early Walker but just try to find a clean, sharp and lustrous one----a VERY TOUGH assignment. I purchased this one from a dealer who had it on consignment. The dealer told me that the client had been searching for 20 years for the ‘perfect’ 1920 P walker, before choosing this one. Don’t know how true that is but I do know it is one of the nicest ones that I have ever seen.
This one is CAC stickered for premium quality eye appeal.
