Owner Comments:
In 1951, the San Francisco Mint produced over 31 million Roosevelt dimes and hundreds of thousands survive in mint state condition.
The 1951-S in this collection is bright satin white on both sides with good luster. It has some very light spots only visible under magnification. But overall this dime has good eye-appeal.
The coin has a good strike and fine details on both sides. The vertical and upper band lines are clear, defined, and uninterrupted. However the lower band line is less than 50% present.
Very light contact marks are present but consistent with the grade. Overall this is a pretty nice coin. Not too much to complain about here. A good addition to the collection. This coin is the mirror image of another in the secondary collection; 1951-S 10C MS 67 cert# 690783-022.
