1882-O/S VAM-5 BROKEN S EDS NGC MS60 DPLThis was the first of this VAM identified as a DMPL (formerly ANACS #620125) and is among only 3 known to date.A monumental piece. The existence of even semiprooflike specimens were thought to be fantasies by leading numismatists for ages. This coin is not only fully prooflike, but with very deep mirrors, a delightful cameo contrast, and tasteful toning. The strike is very full as well, as full as you could ever get on a Morgan dollar. It is scuffy as one would expect for MS60. However, it still presents as an attractive member of the set despite that.Prooflike Census: 1x62DM(N), 1x61DM(N), 1x60DM(N)
