Owner Comments:
This tough Denver coin is white, crisp and clean. Luster is a frosty satin with nice luster bands. The thumb, skirtlines, head, eagle's breast and trailing leg feathers are all very prominently struck up. The surfaces are almost mark-free. A great find!
Fewer MS examples are known for this issue than for the coveted 1938-D. Well struck thumbs and clean surfaces are RARE. MS 65-66s are scarce, while superb gems are VERY RARE.
