Discovery specimen a 4 Coin set purchased from US Mint in 2007. Currently this is the only known copy of 12 produced by the US Mint before the final die polishing of "FREEDOM" for the full production run. 2007 platinum coin sales were suspended as the price of platinum was dynamic. Sets were offered at the end of the calendar year and resulted in pre-production versions distributed, but not discovered until 2011 by Jason Fishman. Most RED BOOKS and other coin books illustrating 2007 coins before this discovery had incorrect versions of the $25, $50, and $100 coins based on the US Mint provided pre-production illustrations.
