1889 C 1/4 annas are the most common Victorian 1/4 annas available. It is rumored that a whole drum of 1889 C 1/4 anna was discovered by the Bombay mint in the 1970's and this hoard was sold to dealers.
This coin can be distinguished from the C mint variety by the way leaves are present below the date. The 'C' mint variety has two leaves below on either side of the date "1889" on the reverse.
Out of the 200+ coins that have been graded so far, there is only one MS 66 specimen and that specimen is a part of this registry.
