Owner Comments:

After a hiatus of 17 years, the mint brought back the Morgan dollar for a final run in 1921. It was the first and only year the Denver mint minted this iconic coin. Sadly, the mint destroyed the last of the original dies more than a decade earlier. Old Mr. Morgan was brought out of retirement to reproduce the dies for this last year. Small variations appeared in this final run. Denver minted Morgans are notoriously weakly minted. However, this beauty, which I picked up on Teletrade, is a strong strike example of this one-year only example from the Denver mint.
