The scarcest of the three dates, but less scarce since 2012.
The 2012 release of the Bank of Canada Hoard coins had its largest impact on the 1914 $5 coin. By March 2020, NGC had certified only 3 originals at MS 64 but had certified 72 hoard coins at MS 64 (the "top pop" grade).
On March 24, 2020, NGC reviewed its Set Scores for Canada $5 Gold and significantly lowered them, particularly for 1913 and 1914 coins. This was consistent with the long-term effect of the Hoard release that greatly increased the known mint state examples and reduced the numismatic premium of almost all grades. C'est la vie.
