Owner Comments:

This coin is one of 3 NGC MS66*Star coins with 3 coins graded higher at MS67. It is also tied for the highest graded NGC Star coin. The Heritage Long Beach catalog wrote, "Undoubtedly, it is the rich toning pattern that is responsible for the NGC Star. The fields are sea-green and the devices are peach-gold. The strike is intricate throughout." This coin qualifies as one of my favorites of this collection for 2 reasons. 1) The toning on this coin is exceptionally nice for a gold coin and, 2) This coin has fabulous cartwheel luster and gleams like a mirror in sunlight. A picture cannot do it justice.
