CAC - The 1857-D is at least two to three times scarcer than the 1858-D and 1859-D, in terms of overall rarity. This coin is lustrous and appealing with light yellow-gold color. The strike is typical for the issue with flatness seen at the borders and a lack of overall detail on the reverse. Mintage: 3,533
