Owner Comments:
Washington Carvers represent one of the best bargin bins currently available in all of U.S. numismatics, where hard to find rare coins with low populations from both major services sell for a pittance. Take this coin for example, it is in superb gem condition with hardly any plachet flaws on Carver's jaw. It has shimmering lustrous surfaces with a touch of gold and no issues. The eye appeal is wonderful, its CAC certified, and the combined pop from both services today is under 260 with just 13 in MS67. I paid under $360 in auction. Better bargains are hard to find. While the prices on the WC series have dropped like rocks during the past 3 years, one day they will arise. Any demand pressure must push the prices of these series coins up especially in 66 grades. One man's opinion.
Population: NGC: 146 ( includes 2* & 1+),10 in 67 (includes 3* coins). PCGS: 138 in 66 (includes 5+), 5 in 67. CAC: 39 in 66, 5 in 67. (10-12)
