Owner Comments:

Superb war nickel with very unusual toning. Obverse is completely bathed in medium orange-gold toning with blue toning on high areas of Jefferson device and some black toning along upper rim. Reverse is about 40% white with scattered areas of gold, blue, and black toning (black toning is confined to along rims on upper 70% of coin). Steps are visible and almost full on right side but mostly flat elsewhere. Only external damage appears to be a few very light contact marks on Monticello. Cost: $36.18 on 11/27/11 on eBay from Dean Yelavich (dean-coldwater).
