Owner Comments:

Series II, The Year Of The Dragon, Gilt Version, a mirror image of the very successful 1st release design back in 2000, This Australian Lunar Silver Coin celebrates the Year of the DRAGON. The reverse of the coin depicts a Dragon and the Chinese character for Dragon, as well as a border of five bats among the clouds, symbolizing health, peace and prosperity. The Obverse of the coin features Ian Rank-Broadley’s effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. People born in the years 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988 and 2000 are born in the Year of the Dragon. The coin is struck from 1 oz of 99.9% pure silver and was issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act of 1965. Those people that are born in the year of the Dragon are regarded as the most powerful and energetic of people.
