Owner Comments:
Prior to March 1979 this coin was part of the Charlotte Mint Museum collection. The "18" in the date is lightly repunched south and a faint clash mark can be seen near the left wreath stem. The reverse has a shallow die defect from the 1 in the denomination to the right wreath. This die defect is found on about half of all 1852-C dollars.
