1938-S. Breen 4293. This coin posesses some of the loveliest toning you are likely to see on a Washington Quarter, with hues of magenta, lavender, gun-metal blue, and gold. This quarter probably sat for a long time in a paper envelope or a Wayte Raymond album. Virtually mark free and very PQ, an ancient fingerprint is evident on the obverse between 2 and 3 o'clock. I wonder who left it there? Ebay purchase.
