U.S. Army (2011) Proof Silver Dollar; Mintage: TBD. Founded in 1775, the U.S. Army has served this country well for 236 years. It has played a decisive role in protecting and defending freedom throughout our history and has answered the call to serve the American people at home and abroad. The obverse design is a bust of a male and female soldiers, symbolizing worldwide deployment of the 21st century U.S. Army. The reverse symbolizes the seven core values of the U.S. Army. The design features an image of the Great Seal of the United States, worn on Army dress and service uniforms since the early 1800's.
