Coast-to-Coast: Designed by Laura Gardin Fraser, who also designed the Oregon Trail half. This half dollar represents a singular occurrence in the history of commemorative coinage: the same motifs were used on the half dollars as on the gold dollars. This is an exceptionally pleasing representative that has bright mint luster. Much of this brightness comes from the die striations that are seen on each side on this as well as all Grant halves. Brilliant throughout and showing no obvious surface impairments.
