Owner Comments:

Smooth, attractively toned example with minimal marks. This minor type achieved two objectives. First the use of the term "Half Dol," which replaced "50 Cents," brought the coin in line with the other silver coins which had their value stated by wording like, "Quar. Dol." Second the rims were raised which better protected the legend, "United States of America." This increased the useful circulation life of the coin.
