VAM-6Legendary rarity, like the 96-O, and difficult to locate this nice.This coin is very conservatively graded. The obverse is quite clean for a 97-O, with the only noteworthy marks being on Liberty's neck. The reverse is full DMPL and exhibits a few nicks, a couple tiny ones hidden in the wreath. If there was just a little more obverse device contrast, this may have earned a DMPL designation. It is also very PQ for an MS63 grade and worth the premium paid to obtain this coin.Acquired 03/11/2004 from Don Rinkor, ex Heritage 2003 FUN sale lot 8175, where it was noted that the population is actually 3 (not 4) since the previous owner retained the old MS63PL tag after resubmitting to PCGS upon crackout.Condition Census: 2 x 64DM(P), 1 x 64DM(N), 1 x 64PL(N), 1 x 63DM(N), 3 x 63PL(P), 1 x 63PL(N), 6 x 62DM(P), 4 x 62DM(N), 4 x 62PL(P), 7 x 62PL(N)
