1959-P. Breen 4388. Type A reverse. Blast white satin. Three little bag marks hidden in hair above Washington's ear. This is a very attractive coin, with a flawless reverse.
Varieties Owned:
1959-P, Type B Reverse, Breen 4389, many in mint plastic, all gem mint state. I hope that one day NGC will increase their business by recognizing the type B's as a separate variety and put this designation on their labels.
1959-P Proof Doubled Die Obverse, WDDO-001, CONECA's 4-O-IV+VIII, FS#25-022.45. Doubling shows as a very stgrong spread south on IN GOD WE TRUST, the date, and the lower ribbon. PCGS PR-67. Although PCGS does not recognize this variety, NGC does, so I intend to send this in to crossover to an NGC slab with my next submission. (Pictured right)
