Owner Comments:

1939-S. Breen 4296. Doubled Die Obverse, WDDO-002, Coneca's 3-O-V, WRRM-001, S over S northeast. Noted as "Rare" by John Wexler. This doubled die is not a recognized variety by NGC, and not noted on holder. This is a very tough date to locate in MS-66, and is seldom offered. This coin is the last coin I purchased from the thirties. The scan does not do justice to this nicely toned coin, with blue, pewter, and bronze highlights.
