This completes my First Spouse short set, with a PCGS First Strike! The four Presidents including Jefferson, Jackson, Van Buren, and Buchanan make a beautiful sub-set affording an opportunity for a collector to have high quality proof or ms strikes of some of the earliest designs in US coin history! I would prefer staying with NGC on the set, but NGC does not offer early release on Spouse coins, so as long as I can have my orders filled soon enough by the Mint, I will get PCGS First Strikes due to the value added, This is a beautiful entry to my set, especially since I now have MS and PR DCAM First Strike of this set with consecutive serial numbers. NGC, please offer an Early Release version of First Spouse coins! I also wonder if the mint will discontinue this set or what changes lie ahead with the Mint. I personally hope this series continues in a way anyone can afford to purchase the remaining set, even if gold content changes.
