I viewed this coin in person at the Heritage auction in Milwaukee 2010. I had problems with the flyspeck on the obverse left field but after reviewing the low population and having a strong tight strike, lack of noteworthy hits, mint luster, and blue highlights, I accepted its existance. The spot is flat like an age spot on skin, not thick or virdigris, so it is inactive I suspect. Anyway, The last time HA offered this date in BN was in 2009 and it was the same coin and the time before that was 2004. WOW, so I went back to my friends house that night and bid on the coin and was surprised to see it sold for roughly $200 less that it did in 2009. Must be a great time to land numismatics! Makes up for the times I stretch out to get one.
